About the Role
Emdad By Elm is seeking a Software Developer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 3-5 years of experience and focuses on developing high-performance, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of critical software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure applications remain current.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of applications.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Spring Boot and related technologies.
- Proven experience with RESTful web services and API development.
- Proficiency in Hibernate, JPA, and other ORM frameworks.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably DB2.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Preferred Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with JSF.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
- Experience with other Java frameworks or libraries such as Spring Security, Spring Data, etc.
- Experience with agile tools and methodologies (, Scrum, Confluence, JIRA).
- Developer or Spring Professional Certification.
Work Environment
- This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, offering an opportunity to work within a dedicated software development team at Emdad By Elm.
