Design and build applications using established standards and technical practices.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and optimize code for performance and efficiency.
- Develop user interfaces and user experiences with design teams.
- Integrate applications with databases and APIs.
- Troubleshoot programming errors and maintain application stability.
- Implement updates, improvements, and new features.
- Apply cybersecurity standards and protect application data.
- Document code, systems, and software functions.
- Collaborate on system analysis, quality, and project management.
- Assess emerging technologies for application development.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least two years of practical application development experience.
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational database management systems.
- Experience with APIs and version control systems such as Git.
- Understanding of application security fundamentals and debugging.
- Technical problem-solving ability and strong communication and collaboration skills.
