Role overview

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-disciplinary integrated product teams using Agile techniques to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems for aerospace and defense.
• Contribute to some or all of a software product as a team member and possibly lead a small software team.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a similar technical degree.
• Experience designing and programming with C++, Java, C#, or another object-oriented language.
• Experience developing and debugging object-oriented software, including data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded applications.
• Experience using generative AI or machine-learning-assisted technologies to improve workflows, automate tasks, improve code quality, or optimize delivery.
• Experience with open systems architecture and modular design principles, including loosely coupled components, standardized APIs, or modular interfaces.
• Experience identifying and resolving operational, technical, or documentation deficiencies in an engineering environment.

Preferred qualifications

• CI/CD, configuration-management, or data-analysis tools; Agile, Scrum, SAFe, TDD, or DevOps; and software development across Linux, real-time operating systems, or Windows are preferred.
• Technical adaptability and the ability to manage competing priorities and meet project milestones are preferred.

• The role is designated onsite, with the work location in Huntsville, Alabama.

Compensation

• The stated salary range is USD 57,200–108,800; no pay cadence is specified.
• Relocation is available.
