The Opportunity: Software Developer, Digital

Hatch is seeking a Software Developer, Digital to join the Product Development team within the Digital Practice in Riyadh, Riyadh Region. This full-time role is suited for a highly motivated Lead Full-Stack Developer with 5-10 years of experience, possessing strong front-end and back-end capabilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate fluency in AI-assisted development workflows and will serve as the technical lead for a small group of contributors, including developers and data engineers. Role Responsibilities

• Act as the technical lead for a small team of developers and data engineers across a portfolio of bespoke client engagements.
• Provide mentorship, conduct code reviews, and offer architectural guidance to the project team to ensure quality products and solutions.
• Manage end-to-end delivery for a portfolio of concurrent engagements, from requirements clarification through to deployment.
• Apply AI-assisted development practices, including prompt design, agent workflows, multi-file refactors, and disciplined human review of AI-generated code.
• Work effectively within Agile teams to complete committed backlogs and operate semi-autonomously on smaller engagements.
• Execute user stories according to acceptance criteria and participate in estimating, sprint planning, software development lifecycle activities, code reviews, testing, research, deployments, and documentation.
• Contribute to design and architecture investigations and decisions for both front-end and back-end concerns.
• Emphasize collaboration and communication within and outside the team to improve software delivery processes.
• Communicate open items, risks, and trade-offs to key stakeholders, including management.
• Stay informed of technology developments and AI tooling advancements relevant to current and future initiatives.
• Work effectively in a team environment with shared code, utilizing disciplined source control and process documentation.
