Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented **Graphic Design and Social Media Specialist** to join our team.
This dual-role position requires a blend of visual creativity and digital savvy.
You will be responsible for designing compelling graphics across various platforms and managing our social media presence to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and support marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:Graphic Design (50%)
- Create engaging and on-brand graphics for digital and print including social media posts, ads, email campaigns, brochures, presentations, and website assets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to translate ideas into visually compelling designs that align with brand guidelines.
- Maintain and evolve brand aesthetics across all channels and materials.
- Edit photos and videos for use in marketing campaigns or online content.
- Prepare final designs for production or publication, ensuring high quality and consistency.
Social Media Management (50%)
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand visibility and audience engagement across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
- Plan, create, schedule, and publish content using social media management tools.
- Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and generate reports with actionable insights.
- Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design and/or social media management.
Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects preferred) and Canva.
- Experience with social media platforms and tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Later).
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines.
- Photography or videography skills are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SEO, paid social media advertising, or basic HTML/CSS.
- Experience working in [industry-specific experience, e.g., non-profit, fashion, tech, education].
- Portfolio showcasing design work and successful social media campaigns.
