• The Core Mission of the Social Media Manager
• Hack The Box is looking for a Social Media Manager to lead and elevate our global organic social presence across brand, product, community, and campaign storytelling.
• Reporting to the Sr Director of Growth Marketing, you’ll own these three core pillars:
• Strategy: Define and evolve our social media strategy across channels, aligning with brand, product, community, and campaign goals.
• Execution: Own and manage the social calendar, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery and performance across all platforms.
• Content creation: Take ownership of content end-to-end — from ideation to publishing. This includes recording yourself and/or collaborating with internal stakeholders to feature them in content. You should feel comfortable on camera and be able to guide others to do the same. Basic editing skills are important to produce fast, engaging content. We’re not aiming for polished production — social media is about authenticity, natural presence, and tapping into trends in a timely way.
• You’ll play a key role in balancing thought leadership, product marketing, community engagement, employer branding, and campaign amplification—turning strategy into impactful, high-performing social presence.

🚀 The Adventures That Await You

• Own and execute Hack The Box’s organic social media strategy across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other relevant channels
• Build and manage the weekly and monthly social calendar, balancing campaign content, product updates, thought leadership, PR, community, employer branding, and always-on engagement
• Lead social support for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 campaigns, product launches, events, webinars, content drops, and strategic company moments
• Write, edit, schedule, and publish channel-native content tailored to audience, format, and platform behavior
• Partner with Product Marketing, Community, PR, Content, Design, and Growth teams to turn business priorities into clear, effective social storytelling
• Develop creative briefs for static posts, carousels, videos, memes, reels, GIFs, and other social-first formats
• Monitor social trends, audience conversations, and performance insights to adapt content in real time
• Manage day-to-day community engagement across comments, mentions, and messages
• Track and report on key social KPIs including reach, engagement, follower growth, traffic, and contribution to awareness and pipeline
• Continuously optimize content, timing, messaging, and channel mix based on performance data

• Proven experience in social media management, content marketing, or organic social strategy
• Strong copywriting and editorial skills, with the ability to adapt tone by platform and audience
• Experience managing cross-functional campaigns and content calendars in a fast-paced environment
• A strong grasp of platform best practices across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
• Confidence working with designers, marketers, and subject matter experts to bring ideas to life
• Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle recurring content, launches, and reactive moments
• A data-informed mindset with experience using performance insights to improve results
