Responsibilities
- Support SIEM service delivery, issue resolution, and analyst or customer queries, especially for log-source and SIEM health checks.
- Assist with onboarding log sources and optimizing Splunk telemetry; support system updates and SIEM performance.
- Contribute to SOC process improvements, service and operations reporting, and Splunk-related architecture initiatives.
Technical knowledge
- SIEM experience may include Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel, LogRhythm, or FortiSIEM; related technologies include Cribl.
- The role calls for Python scripting and understanding of cloud and network technologies.
- Candidates should be able to diagnose log-source issues involving cloud and network infrastructures and understand SOC operations and cybersecurity practices.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- At least six years of SOC operations experience, including Splunk SIEM management and Cribl.
- Prior technical experience in a SOC or similar cybersecurity environment.
Certifications and work skills
- Listed certifications include Splunk Certified Admin, Azure SC-200, and Cribl Admin; other relevant SIEM certifications are advantageous.
- Cloud or network certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Azure Fundamentals, or CCNA are beneficial.
