The six-month internship provides hands-on experience in threat monitoring, triage, and incident response.

Monitoring and incident response
- Monitor logs, alerts, and telemetry using SIEM, EDR, and XDR platforms; triage events and escalate true positives.
- Correlate multi-source data to identify malicious patterns and reduce false positives.
- Support senior analysts with containment, eradication, and recovery, and document incident timelines, evidence, and lessons learned.
- Update runbooks and contribute to detection rules.
Threat intelligence and reporting
- Enrich alerts with internal and external threat-intelligence feeds, including IP, hash, and domain information.
- Produce daily shift reports and customer incident summaries; track MTTD, MTTR, and case volumes and suggest improvements.
Platform maintenance and collaboration
- Tune correlation rules, playbooks, and parsing logic; validate log ingestion from new sources and troubleshoot gaps.
- Assist with automation scripts and playbooks to streamline repetitive tasks.
- Coordinate incident handoffs with engineering and customer success; participate in tabletop exercises and blue-team drills.
Qualifications
- Final-year student or fresh graduate in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field; bachelor’s degree required.
- Foundational knowledge of networking (TCP/IP and OSI), Windows/Linux internals, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with at least one SIEM, EDR, or IDS/IPS platform through coursework, labs, or CTFs.
- Basic Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting is a plus; certifications in progress such as CompTIA Security+ or CC are advantageous.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to learn and take initiative.
Schedule
- The SOC operates 24×7; the role involves rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
