Site Engineer - Civil

About This Role

Location: Qatar Key Requirements: Please highlight in your CV any experience you have with high-rise buildings and towers. Ideally, candidates will also hold MMUP/UPDA Grade 'A' classification. Overview An excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Site Engineer to join a leading engineering and construction environment, supporting the successful delivery of large-scale building and infrastructure projects. This role offers a dynamic site-based position with real responsibility across planning, coordination, and execution.

Key Purpose To provide technical and operational support across a defined scope of civil engineering and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in developing site organisation structures and manpower plans
• Work closely with planning teams to develop detailed construction programmes and material schedules
• Assist with mobilisation of site resources, facilities, and project set-up
• Deliver construction activities in line with agreed programmes and project requirements
• Prepare monthly forecasts for manpower and materials
• Coordinate daily work schedules with supervisors, including labour and equipment allocation
• Review progress reports and identify risks to quality, cost, and schedule
• Review construction drawings and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve discrepancies
• Manage material sourcing in line with specifications and prepare technical submittals
• Monitor site safety performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Attend inspections and ensure timely close-out of actions
• Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure quality and programme compliance
• Prepare as-built documentation and support project close-out activities

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Extensive experience in civil construction, including major building or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in site supervision on complex developments such as high-rise or large-scale structures
• Professional engineering certification is advantageous
• Knowledge of relevant engineering standards and construction regulations
• Strong planning, scheduling, and site coordination skills
• Experience in cost control, budgeting, and reporting
• Ability to manage subcontractors and handle technical queries and variations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
