Site Engineer

Role overview

Site management and execution

• Manage and supervise daily site operations across multiple interior fit-out projects; supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site workers.
• Ensure construction follows approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and company quality standards; coordinate daily work and resolve site issues.
• Interpret architectural, interior design, and MEP drawings and oversee partitions, ceilings, flooring, tiling, painting, joinery, and decorative finishes.
• Coordinate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other MEP installations; verify measurements and resolve discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
• Prepare daily and weekly execution plans, monitor timelines, ensure resources are available, and take corrective action to address delays.
• Inspect workmanship and finishes, identify defects, prepare snagging lists, supervise rectification, and prepare projects for client inspection and handover.

Materials, reporting, and coordination

• Prepare material requirements with procurement, monitor use and wastage, verify deliveries and specifications, and report additional works or variations before execution.
• Assist management with project cost control.
• Submit daily photo progress reports and weekly updates; maintain accurate records of completed and pending work, delays, technical issues, and manpower requirements.
• Attend client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings; coordinate inspections and technical clarifications.
• Coordinate building access, permits, and work approvals, and report client requests to management before implementation.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of UAE experience in interior fit-out projects.
• Strong experience in luxury villas, residential renovations, commercial offices, and retail fit-outs.
• Excellent understanding of interior finishing materials and construction methods; strong knowledge of architectural and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Good understanding of Dubai building regulations and site safety requirements.

Preferred qualifications and experience

• A valid UAE driving license is highly preferred.
• Preferred candidates have hands-on experience managing complete fit-out projects from mobilization to handover and can independently manage operations with minimal supervision.
• Premium finishing, luxury detailing, joinery, gypsum, flooring, MEP coordination, and finishing works experience are preferred.
