Full-time, on-site Site Civil Engineer role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role oversees and coordinates civil works on construction sites and ensures designs are implemented accurately and work meets project and regulatory requirements.
Site responsibilities
- Monitor site activities; review drawings and technical documents; coordinate with contractors and consultants.
- Inspect grading, utilities, stormwater systems, and other civil infrastructure works.
- Report progress and issues to project management and resolve technical challenges.
- Support planning and scheduling to keep work on time and within budget.
- Contribute to health, safety, and environmental compliance, documentation, site reports, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications and experience
- Strong civil engineering and civil engineering design fundamentals, including interpreting and applying codes and standards.
- Construction-site teamwork and coordination with multidisciplinary professionals and contractors.
- Planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring skills for civil works.
- Knowledge of stormwater management and related infrastructure design, installation, and inspection in urban developments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional membership or registration is an advantage.
- Previous on-site building or infrastructure project experience; UAE or GCC experience is described as ideal.
Technical skills
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and design software, such as AutoCAD or civil design tools, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Understanding of local building regulations, authority requirements, and health and safety practices.
- Communication skills and ability to document site activities and prepare clear reports.
