Site-based Document Controller supporting the consultant’s project team and managing project documentation and correspondence.
Acts as the documentation link among the consultant team, main contractor, client, and other project stakeholders.
Workplace and employment
- Full-time, on-site role in Dubai, UAE.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, drawings, submittals, RFIs, reports, letters, and other project documents.
- Maintain document registers, logs, revisions, approvals, and filing systems.
- Manage documents through Aconex or a similar EDMS and follow proper workflows.
- Coordinate documentation among project stakeholders and support engineers and site staff with submissions, tracking, follow-ups, and retrieval.
- Prepare correspondence, transmittals, and reports; keep project records organized, updated, secure, and accessible.
Requirements
- At least five years in a similar Document Controller role is mandatory; engineering consultancy or construction experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Aconex or a similar document management system.
- Excellent organization, document tracking, follow-up, attention to detail, and deadline management.
- Excellent written English and professional correspondence skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to coordinate professionally with consultants, contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
