Shipment Coordination & Tracking
- Plan, schedule, and monitor all inbound shipments (air, ocean & courier) to ensure timely arrival.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm pickup dates, shipping documents, and compliance with routing guides.
- Track shipments in transit, proactively identifying delays and implementing recovery plans.
- Manage import/export documentation (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin).
Supplier & Carrier Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding logistics execution.
- Evaluate carrier performance (on-time pickup/delivery, damage rates, invoicing accuracy) and provide feedback.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, damages, or short shipments with carriers and suppliers.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams on dock scheduling, receiving capacity, and priority unloading.
Compliance & Cost Optimization
- Ensure all inbound shipments comply with international trade regulations (customs, tariffs, denied party screening).
- Work with customs brokers to classify products (HS codes) and clear shipments efficiently.
- Analyze freight spend, identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g., consolidation, mode shifting), and report KPIs.
- Manage claims for lost or damaged freight.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce lead times, lower costs, and increase visibility.
- Participate in root cause analysis for recurring logistics issues.
- Stay current on logistics technology, regulations, and market trends.
& Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations, specifically focused on inbound movements.
- Experience with international shipping (import/export) and domestic LTL/FTL.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Working knowledge of Incoterms 2020, customs documentation, and hazardous materials (hazmat) regulations is desirable.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making under time pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for cross-functional and supplier-facing interactions.
