Cloud support and administration
- Monitor GCP resources using Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Security Command Center.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve alerts, incidents, and service disruptions; escalate as needed.
- Troubleshoot compute, network, IAM, and storage services.
- Manage Compute Engine instances, including deployment, restarts, and performance checks.
- Troubleshoot firewall rules, connectivity, VPN, and load balancing.
- Manage IAM roles, policies, and access controls.
- Administer Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and GKE.
- Perform routine operational tasks, health checks, and maintenance.
- Provision and manage GCP resources using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Support landing-zone setup and project onboarding.
- Configure VPCs, subnets, VPN, Interconnect, and load balancers.
Monitoring and service reliability
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization and cost.
- Configure dashboards, alerts, and logs for proactive monitoring.
- Analyze system trends and recommend performance improvements.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Handle incident, problem, and change management processes.
Skills and experience
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud and understanding of ITIL.
- Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, and VPN.
- Support Linux/Unix and Windows server environments.
