Waad Academy Schools seeks a dedicated, compassionate part-time Shadow Teacher to support students with additional learning and behavioral needs.
The role works closely with students, classroom teachers, and the Special Education Department to promote participation, independence, and classroom integration.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized classroom support for participation in daily learning activities.
- Help students integrate into the classroom and interact positively with peers.
- Implement educational, behavioral, and learning strategies recommended by the Special Education Department.
- Support students with classroom routines, instructions, and activities while encouraging independence.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and specialists to align support with each student's needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; patience, empathy, flexibility, and passion for supporting children's development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and families.
- A bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children with additional learning, developmental, or behavioral needs is an advantage.
