ServiceNow Technical Architect - Oracle Database Migration

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical architecture and execution of Oracle database migration projects.
- Design migration strategies, architecture, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Assess existing Oracle database environments, schemas, tables, dependencies, and data structures.
- Plan and execute migration activities from Oracle to RaptorDB or other target databases.
- Ensure data integrity, completeness, performance, and security throughout the migration.
- Coordinate with ServiceNow, database, infrastructure, application, and integration teams.
- Troubleshoot migration issues and develop solutions for data compatibility and performance challenges.
- Manage migration testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration support.
- Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, architecture diagrams, and rollback strategies.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of IT experience, with strong experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect / Senior Technical Consultant.
- Strong ServiceNow technical architecture and integration experience.
- Proven hands-on experience with Oracle database migration projects.
- Must have worked on at least one end-to-end Oracle migration project, not just Oracle administration or support.
- Experience with database-to-database migration, preferably Oracle → RaptorDB / self-hosted database.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, schemas, data structures, dependencies, and migration challenges.
- Experience with data migration, ETL/data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, middleware, and ServiceNow data/integration architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
