Role overview

The role seeks an experienced ServiceNow Technical Architect with hands-on Oracle database migration experience.

The candidate should have personally participated in or led an end-to-end Oracle migration, preferably to another database platform such as RaptorDB or a self-hosted environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture and execution for Oracle database migration projects.
  • Design migration strategies and architecture, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Assess Oracle environments, schemas, tables, dependencies, and data structures; plan and execute migrations to RaptorDB or other target databases.
  • Protect data integrity, completeness, performance, and security throughout migration.
  • Coordinate with ServiceNow, database, infrastructure, application, and integration teams; troubleshoot compatibility and performance issues.
  • Manage migration testing, validation, cutover, and post-migration support.
  • Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, architecture diagrams, and rollback strategies.

Required experience and skills

  • 8+ years of IT experience, with strong experience as a ServiceNow Technical Architect or Senior Technical Consultant.
  • Strong ServiceNow technical architecture and integration experience; hands-on experience with Oracle database migration projects.
  • At least one end-to-end Oracle migration project; Oracle administration or support alone does not meet this requirement.
  • Database-to-database migration experience, preferably Oracle to RaptorDB or a self-hosted database.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, schemas, data structures, dependencies, and migration challenges.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL or data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, middleware, and ServiceNow data or integration architecture.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills, communication, and stakeholder management.
