Role overview

Service and operations

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages, and set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Answer menu questions and coordinate with the kitchen on menu issues, wait times, re-cooks, and product availability.
• Communicate allergies, dietary needs, meal requirements, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record orders in MICROS, check guest satisfaction, present accurate bills, and process payments.
• Keep work areas, china, and glassware clean; complete closing duties such as restocking.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely.

Standards and teamwork

• Follow company and safety procedures, report accidents and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
• Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support the team in reaching shared goals.
• Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is specified as needed.

Physical and communication requirements

• The role requires extended standing, sitting, or walking and physical work, including lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and objects over 50 pounds with assistance.
• The role requires fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, movement on uneven or slippery surfaces and stairs, and reaching, bending, twisting, and stooping.
• The server must communicate clearly and professionally and read and visually verify information in different formats.

Work arrangement

• Full-time role at the Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts location in Dubai; the posting says the role is not remote.
