SEO Manager
About This Role
We're a Dubai-based group operating two distinct online businesses: a global secondary ticketing marketplace covering football, Formula 1, tennis, and major live events, and a luxury watch e-commerce store specialising in pre-owned and bespoke timepieces. Both businesses are international, content-driven, and rely heavily on organic search to bring in high-intent buyers.
We're scaling our in-house team in Dubai and looking for an SEO Manager to work directly under our Marketing Manager, who built and continues to lead the SEO function across both brands.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who can think and act inside a clear direction. The Marketing Manager sets the SEO strategy and overall priorities. You own day-to-day execution end to end: technical fixes, on-page work, content briefs, internal linking, schema, redirects, audit cycles, and reporting across two websites. You'll partner with internal developers, content writers, and an external digital PR agency.
You'll work under an SEO-trained manager, which means in practice:
- Your audits, briefs, and recommendations get proper technical review, not rubber-stamped
- You'll be challenged on your reasoning and expected to defend it with data
- Your growth on technical SEO, content strategy, and AI workflows is actively supported, not left to chance
- Mistakes get caught early and turned into learning
We're not looking for someone who waits to be told the answer to every problem. We're also not looking for someone who needs to invent the strategy from scratch. We need someone who reads the SERP, spots opportunities, brings ideas to the table, pushes back when they disagree, and uses AI tooling fluently to move faster.
Key Responsibilities
Technical SEO
- Run regular technical audits using Semrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console across both sites, prioritise issues, and drive fixes through to implementation
- Manage indexation strategy: index/noindex rules, canonical tags, sitemap hygiene, and redirects (especially for time-sensitive event pages on the ticketing side)
- Diagnose Core Web Vitals, crawl, and rendering issues and partner with developers to resolve them
- Implement and validate structured data (Schema.org) across page types, including Product, Event, Article, and FAQ schema
- Monitor site health, page performance, and indexation across English and Arabic versions
On-page and Content SEO
- Optimise meta titles, descriptions, headings, internal linking, and on-page content across both brands
- Build and maintain topical maps using a hub-and-spoke approach, contributing to content pillars set with the Marketing Manager
- Brief and review content for SEO quality, ensuring articles are fully optimised, internally linked, and aligned with search intent
- Identify content gaps versus competitors at the SERP and site architecture level, and turn them into actionable briefs
Reporting and Execution
- Track keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and SERP feature visibility across both brands
- Run competitor analysis and translate findings into recommendations the team can act on
- Bring ideas, hypotheses, and experiments to weekly reviews and own them through to execution once approved
- Stay current with Google algorithm updates, AI Overviews, and SEO tooling
Cross-functional
- Work with developers on SEO requirements for new page types, ensuring SEO basics are built in before launch
- Coordinate with the content team on production, uploads, and quality control across both sites
- Support the digital PR agency with topic angles and on-site landing pages
- Provide weekly progress updates and flag delays or blockers proactively
What We're Looking For
Must have:
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on SEO experience
- Strong technical SEO foundation: indexation, crawl management, redirects, schema, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, agentic AI crawling
- Solid on-page and content SEO experience, including topical mapping, topical authority, and internal linking strategy
- Experience working across more than one website, ideally with different content types (e.g. e-commerce and editorial)
- Confident with Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Screaming Frog
- Genuinely AI-fluent. You use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools daily to move faster on audits, briefs, content, scripts, and analysis. This is not optional
- Strong written English, with the ability to brief writers, document processes, and communicate findings clearly
- Comfortable being managed by someone who knows the work as well or better than you do, and willing to learn from review
- Self-directed within a clear direction
- Able to work full-time on-site in Dubai
Nice to have:
- Experience with marketplaces, e-commerce, ticketing, travel, events, or luxury retail websites
- Working knowledge of Arabic SEO, or experience with multilingual / hreflang setups
- Familiarity with Shopify (especially Shopify Liquid), and basic HTML / CSS
- Genuine interest in either sport or watches and luxury goods
- Experience working with a digital PR agency or running outreach-led link acquisition

We expect you to push back when you disagree, defend your work with data, and own outcomes end to end.
