Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Architect, install, configure, and optimize Tomcat clusters on Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual servers.
• Provide infrastructure support, including VM procurement, builds, and preparation for application load and testing.
• Support deployment strategies and enforce SDLC, change-management, and release-governance practices.
• Manage SSL/TLS, certificate lifecycles, authentication, authorization, LDAP, and SSO integrations.
• Drive security hardening, vulnerability remediation, patching, and compliance alignment.
• Troubleshoot complex middleware, operating-system, application, and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and deployment tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with application, database, network, and storage teams.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents and escalations.

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant enterprise systems and application production-support experience.
• Strong hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows administration experience across physical and virtual systems.
• Advanced SSL/TLS, certificate-authority, secure-communications, security-hardening, vulnerability-management, and patching experience.
• Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, LDAP/SSO, CI/CD, Jenkins or Control-M, and SAN storage.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted.

Desired qualifications

• Infrastructure automation using Ansible or scripting.
• Server and application virtualization technology such as Citrix.
• Containerization or Kubernetes, including Tomcat on containers.
• Spring Boot or Java microservices platforms.
• Observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, or Prometheus.

Work expectations

• The role includes 24/7 on-call participation for critical platform incidents and escalations.
