The role oversees workshop operations, supervises technicians, troubleshoots vehicle issues, and ensures repair and restoration quality.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily workshop activities and assign, lead, and monitor technicians’ and mechanics’ work.
- Diagnose complex issues in classic and vintage vehicles; inspect vehicles and assess repair, maintenance, and restoration needs.
- Ensure repairs and restorations meet standards; review completed work and quality before vehicle release.
- Guide technicians, identify recurring faults, and recommend solutions for difficult or unusual problems.
- Monitor schedules, progress, turnaround times, tools, and equipment; maintain a clean, organized, safe workshop.
- Coordinate with management and report faults, repairs, and corrective actions; ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Senior Technician, Workshop Foreman, or in a similar senior automotive role.
- Strong automotive diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance experience and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automotive systems.
- Classic, vintage, or luxury vehicle experience is highly preferred.
- Experience leading automotive technicians; ability to assess repair quality and knowledge of tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and leadership skills; able to work independently and manage multiple activities.
- Willingness to work hands-on in a workshop; candidates must currently be based in the UAE and available for an in-person interview if shortlisted.
