A restaurant management group is recruiting a Senior Hostess for its existing premium restaurants in Dubai.
The role shapes guests' experience from arrival and supports guest satisfaction and smooth service.
Guest reception and restaurant coordination
- Welcome, greet, and seat guests; manage reservations, waitlists, seating plans, and special requests.
- Monitor dining-room availability, safety, cleanliness, and guest well-being.
- Answer questions about menus and item availability, address concerns, anticipate needs, and support guests with disabilities within established guidelines.
- Coordinate with service, production, and other departments for smooth service delivery.
Restaurant operations and team support
- Maintain menus, place settings, tables, work areas, supplies, and restaurant presentation.
- Guide and assist hostesses and coworkers, share information clearly, and document relevant updates for management.
- Complete opening, closing, side-work, restocking, reporting, security, and daily cleaning duties.
- Attend training and meetings and perform other duties as business needs evolve.
Safety and procedures
- Follow grooming, confidentiality, quality, health, safety, security, OHS, emergency, and environmental procedures.
- Report incidents, hazards, injuries, and maintenance issues, and assist with risk assessments.
Qualifications and experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and 3–5 years of related hospitality or restaurant front-of-house experience.
- Experience with SevenRooms, OpenTable, or similar restaurant reservation or guest booking systems.
- Basic knowledge of international cuisine and wines; experience greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and handling guest requests and concerns.
- Good command of English; availability for evening shifts, weekends, holidays, and late service hours.
