What you will do

  • Plan or supervise major engineering unit or project work and support technical excellence and quality improvement.
  • Provide consultations for interdisciplinary studies and guide CAD designers while completing CAD and 3D modeling tasks.
  • Ensure code and regulatory compliance and provide professional engineering seals and signatures when required.

  • Design collection, conveyance, and disposal pressure networks and develop hydraulic models and reports.
  • Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and utility cross sections; liaise with service providers for NOCs and design approvals.
  • Estimate budgets and staffing, prepare technical papers, and carry out related engineering and administrative duties.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and 8–12 years of related water, wastewater, or wet utilities design experience.

  • Knowledge of Bentley WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, Bentley HAMMER, and WANDA for pressure network design and modeling.
  • Knowledge of Gulf-region water, irrigation, and firefighting authority regulations and water supply systems, including treatment, pumping, and intake structures.
  • Familiarity with local authority utility cross-section requirements and British and American codes and wastewater regulations.
  • Experience liaising with service providers to obtain NOCs and design approvals.
  • Lead-capacity potential, strong written and oral communication, industry-practice familiarity, and ability to select appropriate engineering software.

Preferred skills and experience

  • A master's degree and UAE experience are preferred.
  • Civil 3D, Dynamo, Python, OpenRoads, OpenUtilities, and GIS knowledge is preferred.
  • Comparable regional or international water-systems experience and experience training or mentoring others are desired.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills are sought.
