Senior Varicent Integration & Platform Engineer

Role overview

Primary responsibilities

• Support the Varicent technical architecture and integration roadmap and maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, integration specifications, and support procedures.
• Evaluate platform capabilities; manage deliverables and timelines; communicate progress; and deliver scalable solutions for enhancements, requests, and defects.
• Design and implement end-to-end integrations between Varicent and enterprise systems including Workday, Salesforce, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Configure Varicent applications, calculations, workflows, incentives, rules, and compensation plan components.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions; conduct fit-gap analysis and functional design; support UAT and maintain the platform.
• Participate in vendor releases, communicate business impacts, support regression testing, and guide testing teams.
• Build reports, dashboards, analytics, and audit capabilities; analyze data and share platform insights.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production incidents, and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
• Establish governance, security administration, access controls, and compliance monitoring.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering excellence through code reviews and technical standards.

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of Varicent SPM experience, including calculations, workflows, configuration, integrations, business processes, and complex reporting.
• At least 4 years of Varicent integration architecture and design-pattern experience.
• At least 4 years in HR technology, including cloud computing and mobile technologies, and in building and maintaining complex reporting and audit capabilities.
• Experience requirements also include stakeholder relationships, problem-solving, defect resolution with SaaS vendors, process optimization, teamwork, and communication, with stated minimums of 3–4 years.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Preferred qualifications

• Project management, change management, and communications experience are preferred.
• Experience supporting HR and Compensation systems for large organizations with non-exempt employees is preferred.
• A self-starter approach and productivity in a dynamic, collaborative environment are valued.

Pay and schedule

• The posting lists 40 anticipated weekly hours and full-time employment.
• Structured salary data lists USD 83,430–222,480 yearly; the description characterizes the range as base hourly rate or annual full-time salary depending on job grade.
• The role may include a bonus, commission, or short-term incentive.
