About This Role

Senior UX/UI Designer — Real Estate Platform

Location: DIFC | The Dubai International Financial Centre

Visa Support: No

Fully remote

Reports to: Head of Product

'Availabilty to start at the End of April, we will consider people looking for Contract work too.'

The opportunity

We are a new type of institutional real estate platform providing the infrastructure to invest in real estate on a global basis. We are hiring a Senior UX/UI Designer who can take an idea; a research finding, a product requirement, a whiteboard sketch, and turn it into a polished, well-considered design with minimal hand-holding. You will set the visual and interaction standard for the entire platform, working directly with product and engineering in a fast-moving, remote-friendly team.

What you will work on

  • Own the design of new product areas end-to-end, from initial concept and workflow mapping through to high-fidelity Figma deliverables ready for engineering handoff.
  • Translate R&D, product thinking, and business requirements into clear user flows, interaction patterns, and screen designs without needing every detail specified upfront.
  • Design across the full platform: customer portal (search, property detail, offers, portfolio), admin and manager tools, onboarding flows, and post-transaction experiences.
  • Map out complex workflows, multi-step processes, state changes, edge cases, empty states, before a single pixel is placed; bring that structure into the designs.
  • Build and maintain a coherent design system and component library in Figma that scales as the product grows and keeps frontend consistent.
  • Think critically about what we are building: Identify missing states, and raise UX risks before they become engineering problems.
  • Work closely with the full-stack developer on feasibility, component reuse, and design token implementation; understand what “easy to build” looks like.
  • Incorporate feedback from product, engineering, and early users; iterate quickly without losing design quality or coherence.

Design stack

  • Figma; primary tool for all design, prototyping, and handoff
  • FigJam or equivalent for workflow mapping, journey mapping, and early ideation
  • Design systems thinking: component libraries, tokens, auto-layout, variants
  • Familiarity with how designs translate to React / TypeScript frontends (Ant Design or similar UI kits a plus)
  • Optional: Framer or Protopie for high-fidelity interaction prototypes

What we are looking for

  • 7+ years of product design experience; strong, demonstrable Figma skills; your work should speak before you do.
  • A portfolio that shows original, high-quality software design; not reskinned templates. Work that shows taste, craft, and independent thinking.
  • Proven ability to go from ambiguous brief to structured workflow to finished design with limited direction. You ask the right questions, then get on with it.
  • Deep understanding of complex B2B or transactional products: multi-step flows, data-heavy interfaces, role-based views, and admin tooling.
  • Critical product instinct; you read a requirement and already see what’s missing, what the edge cases are, and what the user will find confusing.
  • Strong grasp of design systems: you build components that scale, not one-off screens.
  • Comfortable working async and communicating design decisions clearly in writing.
  • Clear written English; able to articulate why a design works, not just how it looks.

Nice to have

  • Real estate, PropTech, fintech, or marketplace platform experience. Familiarity with trust, compliance, and high-value transaction UX.
  • Experience designing for both consumer-facing portals and internal admin/operations tools within the same product.
  • Exposure to design handoff in React environments; understanding of how Ant Design or similar component libraries constrain and shape design decisions.
  • Maps, geolocation, or data visualisation UI (portfolio views, property comparisons, pricing charts).
  • Experience working in an early-stage company where there is no established design system to inherit.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted features and how to design for uncertainty, loading states, and model-generated content.

Due to volume if you do not hear from us in 3 working days, then unfortunately we will not be moving forward with you.

They are an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the grounds of a person's gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation. All candidates will be assessed based on merit, qualifications and their ability to perform the requirements of the role. 😊
