About the Role

Litera builds software for law firms, powered by AI and innovation.

As a Senior UX Designer, you will own the end-to-end design experience for a core product area across Microsoft add-ins, web, and mobile.

You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Legal SMEs to frame problems and deliver designs grounded in user insight and product analytics.

Where You'll Work

  • Hybrid role based in Toronto with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

What You'll Deliver

  • Own end-to-end design for your product area from research and problem framing through release, grounded in user insight and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Product Management to shape problems, define scope, challenge assumptions, and set priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Legal SMEs, and Engineering, aligning stakeholders and driving decisions.
  • Leverage product analytics, user research, and domain expertise to make informed design decisions.
  • Design across Microsoft add-ins, web, and mobile experiences, adapting fidelity and output to the stage.
  • Elevate design maturity across the team by introducing process improvements and championing a research-informed, user-centered approach.

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/Product Designer with a track record of shipping and iterating on live products.
  • B2B SaaS experience, particularly in environments where you have helped elevate design maturity.
  • Working knowledge of AI design principles and genuine interest in how AI and agentic products are evolving.
  • Experience designing within the Microsoft ecosystem (add-ins, integrations).
  • Ability to leverage product analytics tools like Pendo and existing organizational knowledge to inform design decisions.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to align stakeholders, present design rationale, and navigate complex problem spaces.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in LegalTech or similarly complex, domain-driven industries.
  • Familiarity with collaborative prototyping environments such as Replit.
  • Background independently running lightweight UX research (surveys, interviews, usability tests).
  • Experience designing for mobile alongside desktop and web experiences.

Pay Transparency

  • Base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 CAD.
  • Final compensation determined by experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications.
  • Role is also eligible to earn commission based on performance.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan with company match, and incentive and recognition programs.
