Role overview

Experience and education

• At least 12 years of experience delivering urban planning or public realm projects in the public or private sector.
• A master’s degree in Urban Planning is required.
• International experience, particularly in the Middle East and beyond, is an advantage.

Technical skills and qualifications

• Proficiency in design, project management, and efficiency matrices is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe CS5, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, and Google Pro is required.
• Advanced BIM software experience in landscape design or infrastructure is an advantage.
• CMLI or ASLA qualifications are an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.

Professional capabilities

• Applicants should understand design, tender, and construction processes and collaborative multidisciplinary design standards.
• The role requires initiative, organization, communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage time, resources, and budgets.
• The role includes mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and providing direction to interdisciplinary work groups.
• Experience working in virtual teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects and work packages, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver contractual outcomes.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, draft technical reports and contractual documents, and monitor project programs.
• Ensure designs meet applicable regional standards, codes, and compliance requirements; review deliverables for quality.
• Contribute to bids, proposals, business development, and identification of additional work opportunities.
• Travel occasionally to offices and project sites to interface with teams.
