A Senior Travel Consultant is expected to have a strong mix of experience, technical knowledge, and customer service skills. Here are the typical qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in travel consulting or the travel industry
- Proven track record in handling corporate and leisure travel bookings
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo
- Strong knowledge of:
- Airline fares, ticketing, and routing
- Visa requirements and travel regulations
- Travel insurance and packages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
