The Opportunity

Maintain and enhance shared technology solutions and infrastructure that support business priorities and client service experiences.

Develop, implement, and continuously evolve infrastructure technologies and capabilities for Wealth systems.

Provide technical and practice leadership across continuous delivery capabilities.

Work Arrangements

  • This is a hybrid role based in the Waterloo, Ontario office.
  • Employees must work in the office at least two assigned consecutive days every other week plus one assigned fifth day each month.

What You Will Do

  • Build and support cloud applications and integrations.
  • Analyze and resolve production system problems with minimal to no guidance.
  • Identify business domains and capabilities to expose as APIs.
  • Establish processes, standards, governance, and implementation practices for vendor platforms.
  • Promote the enterprise API strategy and present it to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage API gateways, API catalogues, and CI/CD pipelines across the API lifecycle.
  • Design and document HTTP REST services using JSON, JSON Schema, and Swagger.
  • Develop extensions and integrations through APIs to other enterprise systems.
  • Train, coach, and share knowledge with colleagues.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of IT experience with multi-domain expertise.
  • At least 5 years of prominent .NET/C# proficiency.
  • Experience with microservices and cloud-native architecture and infrastructure patterns.
  • Azure and Azure DevOps experience, including Azure Pipelines for CI/CD.
  • At least 3 years with Azure App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Application Insights, and Bicep.
  • At least 6 years of relevant Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL experience.
  • Hands-on client- and server-side testing framework experience, such as NUnit or MSTest.
  • Experience with multi-platform integrations, API lifecycle management, REST, JSON, JSON Schema, and Swagger.
  • Experience leading developers on projects and setting tasks and priorities.

Additional Skills

  • Experience with Entity Framework is an asset.
  • Experience with React, NPM, and JavaScript web applications is an asset.
