Role overview

Core responsibilities

• Design and enhance ServiceNow applications for HRSD, Employee Center, Employee Workflows, Knowledge Management, and Employee Experience.
• Build custom applications with App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Now Experience Framework.
• Customize Employee Center pages, components, widgets, and experiences using UI Builder and Service Portal.
• Implement onboarding, offboarding, transfers, promotions, leave requests, and other employee workflows.
• Develop employee News, Announcements, and Content Management capabilities.
• Create reusable components, business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI actions, and Flow Designer automations.
• Build REST and SOAP integrations with HR, identity, payroll, and third-party systems.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Contribute to solution design, code reviews, testing, and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot application issues and improve performance and usability.
• Maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and development practices.
• Collaborate with HR, Corporate Communications, IT, and Enterprise Architecture.

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise application development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong experience with HRSD, Employee Center, Employee Workflows, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, ITSM, and custom applications.
• Expertise with App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, UI Builder, Now Experience Framework, and Service Portal.
• Strong JavaScript skills, including Glide APIs, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, and ACLs.
• Experience developing REST/SOAP APIs and integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and requirements-gathering skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification is listed as preferred in the qualifications section.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – HR Service Delivery (CIS-HR) certification is listed as preferred in the qualifications section.
• Experience with Employee Center Pro, AI Search, Virtual Agent, Employee Journey Management, Workplace Service Delivery, or Agile/Scrum.
