Role overview

Responsibilities

• Investigate critical defects, escaped defects, client comebacks, and production incidents using structured RCA methods.
• Implement and monitor CAPA to prevent recurrence.
• Review test results, logs, quality metrics, leakage data, and error trends to identify systemic weaknesses.
• Audit testing processes, workflows, and outputs against industry standards and internal quality goals.
• Identify process flaws, test limitations, and unclear requirements contributing to defects.
• Design test frameworks, strategies, and validation plans to prevent repeated errors.
• Collaborate with product, development, and Process Excellence teams to improve workflows and eliminate testing gaps.
• Mentor QA team members in troubleshooting and defect reporting.
• Report actionable quality insights and lead blameless post-mortems with stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications

• Requires 4 to 6+ years of software quality assurance experience and demonstrated leadership experience.
• Requires deep expertise in RCA methodologies, including examples such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams, and data-driven problem solving.
• Requires familiarity with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and bug-tracking platforms.
• Requires strong data interpretation skills to track failure trends and isolate core problems.
• Requires proficiency in RCA and quality-control tools and continuous-improvement frameworks such as Six Sigma, 8D, or Kaizen.
• Requires familiarity with bug tracking and test management software such as Jira or TestRail, and reporting utilities such as MS Excel.
• Requires clear verbal and written communication for incident reports, stakeholder presentations, and cross-functional alignment.
