Overview

We are looking for an experienced

Senior System Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer

to join our team and support a major

Government client in the UAE

.

-Availability

  • Candidates must currently be based in the UAE
  • **Experience Required:**
  • 10+ years of experience in UAE
  • Purpose of the Role:
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the client’s infrastructure environment to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient operations in line with agreed SLA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor infrastructure systems, servers, storage, networks, backup, security, and cloud services
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, applications, and system management tools
  • Ensure high availability, performance, backup, redundancy, and security of infrastructure services
  • Monitor system and application performance, identify bottlenecks, and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution
  • Manage IT assets, documentation, SOPs, working instructions, and operational procedures
  • Liaise with vendors and internal IT teams for troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Support service improvement, change requests, audits, and SLA achievement
  • Maintain strong communication with users, business teams, and technical teams

Required Technical Skills

  • Physical hardware support: Dell SAN Storage, Dell/HPE enclosures, blades, and rack-mounted
  • infrastructure
  • HPE Primera / Alletra MP SAN Storage
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, ADCS, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SCCM, Hyper-V, PowerShell
  • SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Exchange, File System administration
  • Backup solutions: Avamar, Commvault on-premises and cloud
  • Microsoft Azure and Office 365: OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online
  • Monitoring: SolarWinds on-premises
  • VMware: vCenter, ESXi, Lifecycle Manager, SRM, Aria Operations, Zerto, PowerCLI
  • Cloud/CDN/Security: Cloudflare and Akamai

Certifications

  • MCSE is mandatory
  • ITIL is mandatory

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on SharePoint and CRM administration
  • Previous experience supporting government or large enterprise environments
  • Strong SLA, documentation, audit, and customer-facing support experience

Soft Skills Required

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical users
  • Strong teamwork, ownership, and professional attitude
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to the customer
