Role overview
Senior Structural Engineer for the Technical Team on a high-rise tower project in Dubai.
Key assignment
- Provide structural design and technical support to the project team.
- Visit project sites routinely to understand challenges and audit compliance with company technical-management procedures.
- Review subcontractor calculations, including steel and post-tensioning designs, and provide engineering feedback.
- Develop engineering solutions where required.
- Design and check contractor temporary works, including equipment foundations and supports, formwork, and back-propping.
- Review key method statements for structural adequacy.
- Assist with investigations of structural items involved in site incidents.
- Provide structural input during tendering.
- Propose and develop structural value-engineering proposals and design optimizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience on high-rise projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit and Navisworks.
