Whitbread is seeking a commercially minded Senior Strategy Analyst to shape where it invests and support the growth of its Premier Inn network.
The role develops and maintains the UK Location Strategy and Network Plan, turning market, demand, competitor, and performance data into investment-ready recommendations.
The analysis informs capital investment and decisions on future Premier Inn locations and formats.
What you will do
- Own and evolve the UK Location Strategy and Network Plan, keeping the plan current after meetings and status updates.
- Produce quarterly outlooks on UK hotel market dynamics and govern competitor and market datasets as a single source of truth.
- Lead the move to automated, scalable, and AI-enabled modelling, using machine learning for forecasting, scenario testing, and cannibalisation logic while keeping outputs explainable.
- Work with Property, Finance, and Strategy teams to guide investment decisions and maximise long-term value creation.
- Own the Strategic Growth Plan, aligning stakeholders across acquisition, delivery, insight, and strategy and translating market, demand, and supply insights into growth recommendations.
What you will need
- Experience owning and maintaining strategic datasets with data quality, governance, and accuracy across multiple sources.
- Strong quantitative modelling and analytical skills, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and investment modelling.
- Modelling experience using Excel and/or Python.
- Ability to develop location-level insight by integrating demand, supply, competitor, and market dynamics.
- Commercial judgement and communication skills to turn complex analysis into clear, evidence-based recommendations that influence investment and strategic decisions.

Compensation
- Salary is £52,000–£55,000, with a bonus opportunity of up to 15%; no salary cadence is stated.
