Senior Statutory Returns Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation, validation, and submission of statutory returns.
• Work with University stakeholders to ensure accurate, integral, and timely delivery of complex data returns.
• Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into effective business processes.
• Use tools such as Alteryx and Tableau to enhance reporting and improve data quality.
• Support compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks.

Candidate requirements

• Advanced expertise in data analysis and ETL tools, with substantial experience handling large, complex datasets.
• Higher Education statutory reporting experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrated delivery of practical solutions, continuous improvement, and meaningful data outcomes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Able to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and build stakeholder relationships.

Salary and employment

• Permanent, full-time position.
• Salary range is £36,072 to £41,001 per annum, dependent on experience; exceptional experience may be considered for a discretionary range.
