About the Role

APC and Engineering Responsibilities

• Perform onsite step testing for process and well operations.
• Apply dynamic linear models and multivariable predictive control techniques to develop advanced control strategies.
• Implement MPC algorithms to optimize complex processes in real time while considering variables and constraints.
• Contribute to the design, development, testing, maintenance, and modification of APC control systems.
• Monitor and inspect contractor I&C installation activities for progress, compliance, quality, safety, and environmental acceptance.
• Review and approve site-related I&C and OPC equipment design and engineering matters.
• Coordinate with IT/OT and Digital Oil Fields stakeholders on technical requirements and standards compliance.
• Ensure safety functions are integrated into all aspects of work.

Testing and Project Delivery

• Review and approve proposed APC test procedures and witness or participate in testing and review related reports.
• Attend daily and weekly site coordination meetings and monthly progress review meetings when held onsite or on Teams.
• Perform site visits and data collection activities.
• Prepare regular site progress reports for I&C APC-related systems.
• Maintain records and evidence for contractor or client variations.
• Review and confirm the completeness and correctness of installation and configuration handover packages.
• Review preliminary documentation and commissioning operation and maintenance manuals.
• Coordinate I&C equipment works with civil, mechanical, and electrical works to avoid conflicts and delays.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of professional experience in Advanced Process Control.
• At least 5 years of extensive onsite installation, configuration, and support experience as a lead engineer, including closing all project stages.
• Mandatory knowledge of Distributed Control Systems.
• Mandatory knowledge and experience in OT/IT network architecture.
• Mandatory experience with OPC servers and knowledge of the OSI PI historian.
• Firewall configuration experience is preferred.
• Previous CICPA and Optima experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with ADNOC HSE safety standards and requirements is preferred.

Education

• Degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering, Process Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
