Senior Sous Chef - Kuwait

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Support kitchen leadership and supervise food preparation, mise en place, cooking, plating, and service readiness.
• Ensure dishes meet company standards and monitor quality, portion control, consistency, presentation, and timing.
• Lead the team during daily operations and busy service; support menu execution, seasonal specials, and recipe standardization.
• Maintain hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP standards; monitor stock, food rotation, wastage, storage, and organization.
• Assist with ordering, inventory control, and cost-conscious kitchen practices.
• Train and coach junior chefs, conduct shift briefings, and coordinate with service, stewarding, purchasing, and management.
• Lead a kitchen section or outlet when senior leadership is absent and support improvements in efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef, or in a similar culinary leadership role.
• Strong experience in restaurants, hospitality groups, hotels, or high-volume F&B operations.
• Knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, menu execution, and culinary standards.
• Strong leadership, team supervision, and training skills.
• Understanding of food cost control, inventory, portion control, wastage reduction, food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure; organized, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and hands-on.
• International hospitality or multi-outlet experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.
