Senior Software Engineer, Security Engineering - Platform

Role overview

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and operate platform security services and controls using Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Contribute to security automation initiatives and custom tooling.
• Secure Kubernetes and container workloads, including runtime security, network policies, and admission controllers.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code; drive technical designs and participate in code reviews.
• Partner with Auth0 engineering teams on vulnerability remediation plans and develop and commit patches.

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade software services.
• Mastery of Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Expertise with GitHub and CI/CD systems, including architectural and engineering perspectives.
• Expert-level SCA proficiency and practical remediation of third-party and open-source dependency vulnerabilities at scale.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and Docker and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience building platform security controls, managing service permissions, and applying secure coding practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-throughput streaming platforms or log-processing tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, or Vector.
• Experience with Terraform and Policy-as-Code tools.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC 2, and security frameworks in multi-cloud environments.
• Experience or interest in using AI/ML tools to automate security workflows and analysis.

Compensation

• The annual base salary range for candidates located in Canada is CAD 136,000–187,000.
• Equity, bonus, and benefits may be offered under applicable plans and policies.
