Role overview

Permanent Senior Software Engineer role supporting mortgage solutions for Mortgage Choice and PropTrack.

The role designs, implements, and maintains products using programming languages, databases, and cloud technologies.

The team provides tools that improve property valuation and risk assessment across the mortgage lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and deploy data products using varied technologies and platforms.
  • Maintain and enhance products through bug fixes and business-as-usual feature improvements.
  • Ensure system and data reliability, availability, and security.
  • Develop new services and modernize existing technical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Own the software product lifecycle from design and coding through testing, release, and production support.
  • Have hands-on AWS experience with Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
  • Have database development experience with strong T-SQL and stored procedure skills.
  • Have experience with database design, data pipelines, analytics platforms, and ETL systems.
  • Have experience with performance tuning, secure coding, scalability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Have experience with Node.js, TypeScript, serverless environments, RESTful APIs, and authentication schemes.
  • Understand BigQuery, data warehouse concepts, build pipelines, Docker, and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Be able to investigate data and APIs to diagnose issues and uncover insights.
