Senior Software Engineer - OMS

Role Overview

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Spring Boot microservices and Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
• Translate business needs into stories, technical designs, and robust code modules.
• Build automated test suites with Cucumber, JUnit, and Mockito and work across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Build observability with Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana; optimize systems and resolve production incidents.
• Automate development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
• Help guide solution design aligned to architecture standards and strategies.
• Mentor engineers through reviews, documentation, demos, onboarding, and technical discussions.
• Evaluate tools and technologies and make recommendations based on technical and business needs.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience where applicable.
• At least 5 years of software development experience, including Java and Spring Boot backend development.
• At least 4 years of experience in frontend, middleware, databases, or DevOps.
• Experience designing and supporting microservices, APIs, and Kafka event-driven systems.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, automated testing, source control, and modern development practices.
• At least 4 years of iterative Agile SDLC solution delivery experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field is a plus.
• Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito, Bitbucket, Maven, or Gradle experience is a plus.
• ITIL, incident tracking, web services, middleware, technical design, and technical documentation experience is a plus.
• CI/CD, DevOps, and observability experience with Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana is a plus.

Compensation

• Pay range is $95,100 to $180,700 annually; starting pay varies by position, location, education, training, and experience.
