What You Will Do
- Resolve complex technical issues across applications and stack layers and lead high-impact projects.
- Lead integrated enterprise application development across frontend, backend, APIs, data, and supporting services.
- Promote recommended engineering frameworks, tools, technologies, platforms, and architectural practices.
- Drive disaster recovery, capacity planning, performance, regression and chaos testing, observability, alerts, reliability, and recovery runbooks.
- Evaluate technologies, streamline development and operations, remove bottlenecks, and resolve escalated technical issues.
- Mentor engineers, lead code and architecture reviews, establish standards, and improve delivery practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field, or equivalent experience where applicable.
- 7 years of software development or related experience.
- 6 years of experience with frontend, middleware, microservices, APIs, databases, or DevOps.
- 6 years of experience implementing solutions through iterative agile development.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Master's degree in computer science, CIS, software engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with complex enterprise or customer-facing applications in retail, commerce, or a high-scale environment.
- Go backend experience is preferred; Python or Java experience is also relevant.
- Experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, APIs, backend services, microservices, distributed systems, cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Experience with cloud operations, automated testing, deployment pipelines, observability, incident management, and production support.
- Technical leadership, retail technology, customer collaboration, and solution delivery experience.
Pay Range
- Annual pay range: $111,600 to $212,000.
- Starting pay varies by position, location, education, training, and experience.
