This position is designed to create tangible impact via production-ready software. You'll leverage AI-assisted tools and cloud-native infrastructure to construct full-stack solutions addressing substantive challenges—not simply closing tickets. Rapid delivery is expected, but without compromising quality; you'll select the most straightforward correct approach that harmonizes immediate velocity with sustainable architecture.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and Deploy End-to-End Features: Transform user stories into delivered value by clarifying needs, architecting scalable systems, implementing backend and frontend logic, conducting rigorous testing, and releasing to production
• Identify and Resolve Defects: Conduct thorough root cause investigations, address underlying issues rather than surface symptoms, and prevent future regressions through intelligent test coverage
• Elevate Engineering Standards: Assess technical plans and code contributions to enforce clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt at its source

• Crafting pixel-perfect interfaces or elaborate backend architectures for their own sake
• Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
• Spending excessive time in meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating across teams
• Simply delivering features; your accountability extends to solving genuine user problems

Senior Software Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Applying AI to create software that addresses authentic user needs, ships quickly, and remains maintainable over time

Basic Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years writing production-grade code for both frontend and backend of web applications (framework-agnostic).
• Proven ownership: Track record of owning entire modules, product capabilities, or teams—beyond isolated task contributions
• Self-directed execution: Capability to remove your own blockers, establish your own rhythm, and navigate forward through ambiguity
• Hands-on experience incorporating generative A.I. into daily development workflows

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
