What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Transform user stories into delivered value; clarify specifications, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct comprehensive testing, and deploy to production
- Identify and Resolve Bugs: Perform root cause analysis on issues, address underlying problems rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies
- Elevate Code Quality Standards: Assess designs and pull requests to validate clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt at the source
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or elaborate backend systems as ends in themselves
- Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
- Spending excessive time in meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating across teams
- Merely delivering features; your accountability extends to solving genuine problems
Senior Software Engineer Key Responsibilities
- Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships rapidly, and remains maintainable over time
Basic Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
- Proven ownership: Documented experience taking full responsibility for complete modules, product features, or teams, beyond isolated task execution
- Self-directed execution: Capability to remove your own blockers, establish your own rhythm, and navigate forward through ambiguous circumstances
- Practical experience incorporating generative A.I. into your daily development workflow

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year.
The payment period is weekly.
