Your mandate will be to steer the technical advancement of our offerings, guaranteeing they remain scalable, maintainable, and dependable over time. In close partnership with product stakeholders, you will convert strategic requirements into concrete technical blueprints and address intricate problems while upholding rigorous quality benchmarks. The decisions you make will define the product's trajectory and affect how thousands of learners engage with educational content.

What You Will Be Doing

• Feature Development: Architecting and building new capabilities with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and sustained product value.
• Requirement Engineering: Partnering with product teams to clarify specifications and guiding technical conversations to ensure features align with overarching product objectives.
• Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing product reliability, optimizing performance, and proactively detecting and addressing potential issues.
• Technical Design: Executing high-stakes technical decisions that directly influence user satisfaction and product scalability.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Jumping between ephemeral initiatives or pursuing technology trends driven by hype.
• Contributing to internal IT infrastructure or outsourced engagements that lack tangible user impact.
• Being caught in unproductive meeting cycles or grappling with monotonous infrastructure challenges.

Basic Requirements Senior Software Engineer key responsibilities

• At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
• At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
• At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
• Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.

Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
