Senior Software Engineer - CoreAI

Design, implement, test, and ship platform capabilities and services for Azure Functions.

Build and maintain large-scale distributed systems, with a focus on reliability, availability, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Own services through their full lifecycle, including design, development, deployment, monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, repair work, and continuous improvement.

Use logs, metrics, traces, telemetry, testing, and automation to proactively identify issues and improve production health.

Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in running online services, including problems that span multiple components or dependencies.

Develop and improve platform tooling and automation for safe deployments, regression detection, rollback, and operational readiness.

Partner with engineers and stakeholders across teams to define requirements, make sound technical decisions, and deliver maintainable solutions.

Contribute to architecture and design reviews, code reviews, engineering standards, and technical direction for platform components.

Mentor other engineers and help strengthen engineering practices across the team.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 2+ years of experience designing, building, operating, or maintaining distributed systems or cloud services.

developing and maintaining platform or infrastructure components for large-scale online services.

with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

with containers and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

improving service reliability, performance, scalability, diagnosability, and operational efficiency.

troubleshooting complex production issues using logs, metrics, traces, telemetry, and debugging tools.

with modern software engineering practices, including design and code reviews, automated testing, source control, build and release processes, and secure development.

Communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams.
