A Senior Software Engineer in the Tesco Media team will help build and scale products that enable advertisers and retailers to measure, optimize, and improve campaign performance.

What you will do
- Build and enhance customer-facing applications and platform capabilities using modern engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design and develop scalable services, APIs, and integrations supporting retail media products.
- Champion quality through testing, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to technical discussions, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, and scalability; mentor colleagues and share knowledge.
Experience and technical requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on backend development experience, focusing on performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core; experience developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform or Azure, and cloud-native scalability, security, and resilience practices.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes and Helm.
- Experience implementing unit, integration, and automated testing.
- Proficiency in CI/CD automation and experience with GitOps workflows and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Helm.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
