Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems and engineering roadmaps.
• Make key decisions affecting project direction and deliver high-quality results with full ownership.
• Build a culture of engineering excellence, customer focus, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
• Hire and develop engineering talent.
• Design and develop display drivers and collaborate with third-party teams.
• Travel may be required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field with 8 or more years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of embedded experience working on drivers and firmware.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and driver development.
• Strong debugging skills for modern multiprocessor systems using hardware-level debuggers and diagnostic tools.
• Effective verbal and written communication and the ability to explain technical concepts across disciplines.
• Ability to plan and adjust work in a dynamic global environment.

Technical Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Windows and PC architecture, including driver architecture.
• Knowledge of WDF, KMDF, or UMDF.
• Working knowledge of DisplayPort, HDR, OLED, GPU, and TCON technologies.
• Experience in display color calibration.
• WinDbg familiarity is a plus.

Security Screening

• The position requires meeting Microsoft, customer, or government security screening requirements.
• The Microsoft Cloud Background Check is required upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
