Role overview

The Mobile Engineering team seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale the Intelligent Agreement Management platform on Android.

The role focuses on enterprise use cases, consumer usability, major mobile feature design, and reusable Android SDK modules using Kotlin.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to a Senior Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance native Android features and modular SDK components using Kotlin.
  • Lead technical design discussions, document specifications, and maintain codebase modularity, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Drive code quality through reviews, unit and UI testing, and continuous integration.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA, and backend platform teams to deliver Android solutions.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and improve development, Gradle, and testing workflows.
  • Keep current with Android, Kotlin, and Material Design developments and adopt suitable modern tools.

Workplace designation

  • Hybrid role with time divided between in-office and remote work.
  • Access to an office location is required, with a minimum of two in-office days per week; frequency may vary by team but is expected weekly.

Basic qualifications

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience in cloud, SaaS, or enterprise software environments.
  • At least 5 years building production native Android applications and reusable Kotlin libraries backed by cloud APIs.
  • Experience with modern Android architecture patterns and comprehensive unit and functional testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Gradle, CI/CD automation, dependency management, and publishing apps or libraries.
  • Track record delivering complex technical initiatives iteratively in an Agile team.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience developing, packaging, and distributing developer-facing Android SDKs or binary libraries, including AARs or Maven distribution.
  • Strong Kotlin Coroutines and Flow skills, with experience in Jetpack Compose and traditional layout architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Java for framework maintenance and modernization.
  • Experience with enterprise mobile security, including OAuth/SSO, secure storage, and data encryption.
  • Android community involvement through technical blogging, open-source work, or conference speaking.
