Responsibilities

• Build and operate AI platform services primarily in Python, integrating with PHP and Java systems as needed.
• Develop agent runtimes, workflow orchestration, tool execution, state management, recovery, and evaluation hooks.
• Integrate agents and LLM workflows into production systems and evaluate models and providers against use-case success criteria.
• Own evaluation, tracing, observability, and quality feedback loops for detecting regressions and improving AI features.
• Write tested, documented code and advocate engineering best practices, maintainability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate across product, design, data, security, and engineering to deliver reliable customer-facing features.
• Operate services involving PostgreSQL, SQS, gRPC, and REST APIs, including data models, event streams, service contracts, and versioning.
• Contribute technical leadership through architecture input, pairing, code reviews, and mentorship.

Requirements

• At least 5 years building, shipping, and operating production software systems.
• Strong production Python skills, including APIs, services, tests, debugging, and operational ownership.
• Hands-on experience building, integrating, or evaluating agentic systems, agent harnesses, tool orchestration, or LLM workflows.
• Framework experience such as LangChain, LangSmith, LangGraph, PydanticAI, or CrewAI is listed as experience sought.
• MCP, vector databases, retrieval, RAG, AI evaluation platforms, or related experience is sought.
• Experience across a polyglot stack, particularly PHP and Java integration, is sought.
• Familiarity with prompt management, guardrails, tracing, LLM observability, cost and latency optimization, or human-in-the-loop workflows is sought.
• Cloud and container experience such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, and experience with distributed remote teams, is sought.
• Experience with API-driven design, distributed systems, data modeling, service boundaries, software design, security-minded development, and testing.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; business-level written and verbal English fluency.
