Senior Software Developer (.NET)

Role Overview

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and deliver maintainable software solution elements across business capabilities.
• Develop software that meets or exceeds quality and performance standards.
• Collaborate with a professional technology team on structured technology delivery.
• Develop and execute application test plans.
• Prepare and maintain application and system documentation.
• Communicate status, issues, and risks to leaders promptly.
• Deliver outcomes within established design and architecture boundaries.
• Improve code quality and work with Quality Assurance on testing.
• Provide third-level support while improving enterprise application stability.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 14 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Experience with C# and the .NET/.NET Core ecosystem.
• Advanced ASP.NET Core experience, including Web API and MVC.
• Strong RESTful API design and distributed systems or microservices experience.
• Experience with Entity Framework Core or another ORM framework.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript development experience.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience estimating work items and meeting deadlines.
• Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation.

Optional Desired Qualifications

• Experience working within a Scrum or Agile team.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with Git and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, or Bamboo.
• Experience with TDD using xUnit, NUnit, or Selenium.
• Knowledge of databases, messaging systems, cloud services, automation, containers, and Linux or Windows Server environments.

Education and Domain Experience

• A computer science degree or equivalent professional software experience is accepted.
• Payment industry experience is highly desired.
